The San Antonio Spurs struck lightening when the NBA draft lottery handed them the top overall pick of the 2023 draft, which they of course used on French rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama. But that was not enough for the Spurs’ front office, who clearly have another dynasty in mind in light of the latest rumbles we have been hearing about their plans.
From all accounts, San Antonio hopes to add another major star to the team, whether via the draft, a trade, or in free agency. And with Wemby as bad as maybe he ever will be already behind him, that is a scary thought for the rest of the league to think about.
