The Football Association has opened an investigation into West Brom following disturbances from the crowd that resulted in the Black Country derby being suspended.
Following fighting in the stands during Wolves’ 2-0 victory, which resulted in referee Thomas Bramall pulling the players off during a 36-minute stoppage, the authorities will open an investigation.
Twelve minutes into time, Gary O’Neil’s team’s second goal, scored by Matheus Cunha, set off a chain of events. Fighting broke out in the corner of the Halfords Lane stand near the Brummie Road End prior to the game’s restart, with rumors circulating that Wolves supporters were seated among the home crowd.
As the altercation was taking place close to where their families were sitting in the crowd, the West Brom players then got involved.
